About AMT Sports Ltd

We have always stocked a reasonable variety of clothing and shoes for Running and Fitness, but mainly as a "crossover" for our tennis, badminton and squash customers. That part of our tennisnuts.com website mushroomed to the point where we needed to have a separate website. Being able to stock a wide variety of sports goods appeals to our growing band of customers who not only like to keep fit for other sports, but are serious runners or fitness fanatics in their own right. You can check us out on all the major suppliers websites. We deal with customers not just in the UK and Europe, but worldwide. We have thousands of regular customers who have stayed with us as we have developed from 1 store to now the premier specialist racket sports website.

A Brief History

We started off as AMT SPORTS LTD, followed by trading mainly under the tennisnuts.com website and now fitnessnuts.com as well.

The company originally started in a small store in Northwood Hills, followed by another store in Southgate. The mail order brochure (tennis, badminton and squash) was introduced in 1997 and now includes running shoes and clothing this year. We were one of the pioneers of specialist Mail Ordering for sports. We were also one of the first companies to start a website, which was a natural progression from our mail order brochure. We are the original "multi-channel" retailer, with a number of original store customers ordering on-line and vice versa, with a lot of our on-line customers popping into the store for a proper feel. Although the majority of our trade is now on the Internet, at least you can phone us, or pop into the store. This works really well as all our staff in-store and on customer service lines are from a racket sports playing background. Please note that if you need something specific in store, then its best to check first the day before, as we can usually transfer goods on a daily basis. We are quite happy to have specific items ready for people to look at without any obligation to buy.

We quadrupled our storage and warehousing capacity by moving to a new purpose built facility in Amersham, AND keeping the existing facility behind our store in Northwood Hills. We have thousands of satisfied customers all over the World who have succesfully ordered through our mail order service for a number of years and are now happily ordering on-line from us.

How many times do you read on websites 'The biggest in Europe'...well, in our case this is certainly true for the range of clothing, equipment and shoes that we offer. Growing from our background in tennis, badminton and squash, we are have rapidly become major suppliers of Asics, Nike, Adidas, Brooks, New Balance, Garmin, Saucony running shoes and Clothing. We certainly offer the largest ranges of Nike, Adidas, Yonex, Fila, Fred Perry, Wilson and Lacoste clothing for tennis, badminton and squash.

We charge the same prices in the shops and for mail order and the Internet. We also have hundreds of regular special offers and some of the lowest, most competitive prices in Europe.

Because we are an integrated business, we actually stock all the items we offer. We also try and keep the website updated with all sizes that are in stock (or not), but at certain times of the year, there can be a time lag, in which case we will offer an alternative, or inform you of non availability and NOT charge your credit card.

You can always check with any of the manufacturers that we are an authorised dealer...beware websites that offer silly prices for current stock...they will not have the stock and will keep you hanging for weeks. Also beware fakes, of which there are some good ones around at present!

UK Delivery Charges

Standard Delivery Charges.

FREE delivery on all UK Mainland orders ( See **Exceptions). UK delivery will normally be within 2 to 4 working days from receipt of order.

  • **Exceptions 1: Channel Islands, the delivery charge is £10 for parcels over 1kg and £5 for parcels under 1kg (FREE delivery for orders over £100). Delivery will normally be within 2 to 4 working days from receipt of order.
  • **Exceptions 2: Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isles of Scilly and Northern Ireland the delivery charge is £7 for parcels over 1kg and £4 for parcels under 1 kg (FREE delivery for orders over £100). Delivery will normally be within 2 to 4 working days from receipt of order.
  • **Exceptions 3: Isle of Man, Isle of White, the delivery charge is £5 for Standard Delivery and £10 for Next Day delivery. Free delivery for orders over £100.

UK Next Day Delivery:

  • £5 for any order.
  • Geographical exclusions apply, see Exceptions list above.

Exceptions for UK Next Day Delivery

  • ALL NEXT DAY ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE 4pm FOR DELIVERY UP TO 6pm THE NEXT WORKING DAY.
  • Orders received on FRIDAY (even before 1pm) will be delivered on Monday except where Saturday/Sunday delivery is chosen in checkout process.
  • NEXT DAY DELIVERY will not be possible for custom strung rackets.
  • Delivery will not be possible on Bank Holidays (and orders placed on Bank holidays will be despatched on the following working day).
  • All deliveries require a signature of receipt.

  • Saturday/Sunday deliveries are between 9am and 6pm.
  • Orders made after 4pm on Friday will be delivered THE FOLLOWING Saturday/Sunday.
  • Saturday/Sunday Delivery will not be possible for custom strung rackets.
  • Any orders received on Mon-Thurs for Saturday/Sunday delivery will be held and dispatched on Friday for delivery Saturday/Sunday.
  • All deliveries require a signature of receipt.

ROYAL MAIL AND PARCELFORCE Terms and Conditions:

  • 2. Delivery to a UK addresses. Parcel Force do not deliver to UK PO Boxes.
  • 2.8.1. the Customer acknowledges and agrees that Parcelforce Worldwide may at its discretion(i)attempt to deliver the Consignment to a neighbouring address within a reasonable distance of the delivery address; or (ii)leave it for collection at a Post Office® branch selected by Parcelforce Worldwide.
  • 2.8.2. If Parcelforce Worldwide is able to deliver the Consignment to a neighbouring address or leaves it for collection at a Post Office® branch, then a Customer Contact Card shall be left at the specified address; and
  • 2.8.3. the Customer agrees that delivery to such neighbouring address shall constitute delivery to the address specified as the delivery address in the despatch documentation or on the Parcel.

PAYMENT FOR UK ORDERS

  1. EITHER buy securely 'on-line' with payment by credit, debit card or PayPal. Our site uses the latest encryption technology, allowing you to use your cards with confidence. We do not even see your details, we are just told whether the card is accepted or not.
  2. Or Ring the mail order hotline with your order (01494 373004). We have been dealing with phone orders for over 20 years.
  3. Or just VISIT our store at Northwood Hills and we will supply the goods at the same price as quoted on the site.

Overseas Orders and Delivery Charges.

PAYMENT FOR OVERSEAS ORDERS

  • We cannot deliver goods to any address other than the billing address (where payment card / PayPal is registered to).
  • Payment for overseas orders must be made online and cannot be taken over the phone or via email.
  • Direct bank transfers are also possible, please email [email protected] for details.

International Buyers – Please Note:

Import duties, taxes, and customs charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

DELIVERY CHARGES FOR OVERSEAS ORDERS

  • Please ensure you choose the correct option for delivery to speed up the processing of your order.
  • "Under 2Kg" orders are for small items like clothing, socks, wristbands, 1 pair of shoes or similar.
  • Under 2Kg orders will be sent via Royal Mail in the UK. Please see www.postoffice.com for the company that will deliver in your country.
  • Any larger items (Any bags, 2+ pairs of shoes, gym equipment) will be classed as "Over 2Kg". This is due to the size of the box used and not the physical weight of the items.
  • Delivery charges for "Over 2Kg" depends on the items purchased and the actual cost will be emailed to you after placing your order.
  • Some overseas countries will require extra payment to customs and excise. You will need to pay these to your customs to release the goods to you.
  • Please note that to comply with our trading terms with Asics, Brooks and Saucony these shoes cannot be shipped outside the EU.

Goods out of stock or partly available: We carry huge stocks, but if an item is out of stock we will contact you giving you an estimate for delivery time. We will give you the option to either accept partial delivery normally, or to cancel the order for a full refund. You can choose to either take a partial refund for the out of stock item OR accept late delivery.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the items are sent back using a safe and secure method. Refunds will be given within 30 days of cancellation. An exception to this policy is where training has been given for using stringing machines and these have been tried. We DO NOT accept responsibility for lost or damaged goods.

NB If all the goods are returned, and no postage was charged by us originally, we reserve the right to charge the customer for the original postage.

Acknowledgement of orders:
We will acknowledge all orders by e-mail, or by post where an e-mail address is not available.

Damaged or incomplete goods received:
Incomplete orders or items missing from order on receipt of order OR goods damaged in transit - We MUST be notified within 3 working days of any discrepancy between goods received and any documentation. Any problems cannot be resolved after this period.

ALL DELIVERIES MUST BE SIGNED FOR.
Notification of Despatch and non-receipt of goods We will send a tracking number for all despatches. It is your duty to notify us (in writing or by email) within 14 days of non-receipt of goods that we have despatched

For any returns queries, please email [email protected]. If you are not happy with the products received , within 28 working days of receiving the goods , simply return the items AS NEW & UNUSED to our Amersham address. It is your responsibility to ensure that the items are sent back using a safe and secure method. You must also take reasonable care of the goods. We will deem that you have not taken reasonable care of the goods if you have used them to an extent beyond what would be reasonable if examining the goods in a shop before purchase.

If all goods are returned, and no postage was charged by us originally, we reserve the right to charge the customer for the original postage.

Refunds (excluding postage) will be given within 30 days of cancellation. We will only refund the postage back to you if WE have made a mistake, e.g. sent out the incorrect size.

Faulty Items: It is important that you inform us of any damaged/faulty goods immediately and we can arrange to have the faulty item returned back to us to avoid any further postal charges.

Exchanges: Please state clearly the PRODUCT CODE, NAME, AND SIZE of any exchange items. It is your responsibility to ensure that the items are sent back using a safe and secure method. You must also take reasonable care of the goods. No postage will be charged for replacement items dispatched to a UK address.

Returns Documentation

Please print a returns form (pdf). You must send this with your returned items. AMT Sports advises that you send your returned items back to us via some form of recorded delivery so that we have to sign for it. This means that if your parcel is lost in the post you will then be able to claim from the carrier for the goods that were lost. If you return your parcel via a form of delivery that is not guaranteed then AMT SPORTS will not accept responsibility if the parcel is lost or damaged.

Exchanges: Please state clearly the PRODUCT CODE, NAME, AND SIZE of any exchange items. It is your responsibility to ensure that the items are sent back using a safe and secure method. You must also take reasonable care of the goods.

Unacceptable Returns

If you return an item to us outside of the terms of our returns policy and your statutory rights do not apply we may not refund you. The item may be returned to you at your expense and you will be notified of this and any other charges. If you choose to send the item back to us again, or refuse to accept delivery, this will be deemed as an irreversible instruction for us to dispose of your goods without further notice. This will not constitute any admission that we have failed to honour in full our obligations to you and will not constitute any unlawful action against the goods.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998)

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not forward your e-mail address to any other trader.

We do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam). We will give you the chance to refuse any more marketing emails from us , the first time that you receive one.

We will be using your name and address primarily to send you our specialist brochures TWICE a year. From time to time , we may send out a 'special offers' notification.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:
